06.07.2024 Lesser Black-backed Gulls were on the move past Corbiere this morning, in small numbers MD
A morning of showers in a strong westerly wind, which encouraged some seabird movement past Corbiere
Corbiere counts from sunrise this morning involved 28 Balearic Shearwaters, 36 Manx Shearwaters, 10 Guillemots, a Razorbill, 32 Fulmars, 105 Gannets, 8 Cormorants, 24 Shags, a Mediterranean Gull, 37 Lesser Black-backed Gulls and 42 Great Black-backed Gulls, also a single Swallow out at sea. 6 Bottle-nosed Dolphins were seen moving east. At Petit Port were 4 Curlews and 2 Choughs.
At La Pulente were 50+ Black-headed Gulls and the family of 5 Shelduck, with another 53 Black-headed Gulls seen at St Aubin.
Extras for yesterday include a Cetti's Warbler feeding young, a Marsh Harrier and 2 Swifts at Rue des Pres and a young fledged Marsh Harrier at Grouville Marsh
