A fair morning and a cloudy afternoon in a west-southwest wind.
A steady trickle of shearwaters past Corbiere this morning resulted in counts of 171 Balearic Shearwaters and 95 Manx Shearwaters before 10 am. Also seen there were 3 Common Scoters, 45 Gannets, 2 Fulmars, an excellent 166 Mediterranean Gulls, 44 Black-headed Gulls, 44 Lesser Black-backed Gulls, 19 Sandwich Terns, 8 Cormorants, 2 Ringed Plovers, 7 Curlews, 2 Ravens and a Sparrowhawk. Another 56 Mediterranean Gulls were at Petit Port over the high tide. This afternoon, a Wheatear was present at Corbiere.
3 Peregrines were seen at Plemont and another was calling over Great Union Road in St Helier. 3 Swifts were seen over Mont Matthieu in St Ouen.
On rocks east of Pontac Slip were 100+ Sandwich Terns and 50+ Oystercatchers with large numbers of Crows around the slipway. Redshanks were roosting to the west of the slipway too. At Fliquet were 35 House Martins, also a Swallowtail butterfly.
