A few scattered showers early on gave way to a fair afternoon, with a westerly wind
Counts from Corbiere this morning included 16 Manx Shearwaters, 3 Balearic Shearwaters, 3 Guillemots, 6 Fulmars, 53 Gannets, 4 Cormorants, a Grey Heron and 2 Curlews. Gulls were in good numbers there too, with 2 first winter Yellow-legged Gulls, 59 Lesser Black-backed Gulls, 23 Great Black-backed Gulls, a juvenile Mediterranean Gull, 10 Black-headed Gulls and an estimated 300 Herring Gulls on view. A Chough and a Raven were on the headland.
In St Ouen's Bay Sandpits were 145 Coot, 19 Tufted Duck, 7 Little Grebes, a juvenile Marsh Harrier, 8 Oystercatchers, 2 Common Sandpipers, a Stonechat, 20 Swifts and 20 Sand Martins seen. Another 12+ Swifts were seen heading West over Mont Cochon.
