Image: MD early morning sea fog on the West coast soon cleared with the day becoming fair and warm in a light northwest wind. A Roseate Tern was still present on Les Ecrehous today, along with good numbers of Sandwich Terns , albeit less than the 100+ seen yesterday, and 20 Sanderlings were there too . Common Terns are also still present in good numbers. At St Aubin were 180 Black-headed Gulls , 18 Mediterranean Gulls , 3 Sandwich Terns , one a juvenile, and 7 Redshanks . A Turnstone was in Bel Croute Bay, and a Whimbrel was seen at La Mare Slip. At Seymour in Grouville Bay were 19 Mediterranean Gulls and 11 Sandwich Terns and at La Rocque were 3 Greenshanks . A quiet morning at Corbiere saw 2 Balearic Shearwaters , a Manx Shearwater , 3 Guillemots , 75 Gannets , 7 Cormorants , 13 Mediterranean Gulls , 7 Black-headed Gulls , a Kittiwake , 30 Lesser Black-backed Gulls , 42 Great Black-backed Gulls , 2 Whimbrels and 2 Curlews pass in three hours. Also there were 2 Peregrines and 5 Little Egrets , one of them a juvenile bird. Waders at Petit Port included 28 Curlews and 2 Whimbrels . At or over the Scrape this morning were 2 Teal , 3 Swifts , 6 Sand Martins, 2 House Martins , 12 Swallows , a singing Skylark , a Grey Heron , a Black - headed Gull , a Buzzard , 4+ Reed Warblers and 2 Chiffchaffs . Yesterday evening, a Barn Owl was seen on Mont Matthieu . A brief visit to Noirmont found 2 Dartford Warblers , a Whitethroat , 5 Swifts , 8 Swallows , 8 Linnets , a Kestrel , a Sparrowhawk and 4 Buzzards . Evening update: In the Sandpits were 262 Coot, 35 Tufted Ducks , 12 Little Grebes , 2 Common Sandpipers , 15 Sand Martins , 6 Grey Herons , 4 Little Grebes , and the 2 Barnacle Geese. Additional birds on the Scrape were a Green Sandpiper and a male Reed Bunting, and at St Aubin were 18 Swifts . At Les Landes today were 5 Stonechats , 2 Swifts , a family of 4 White Wagtails , 11 Linnets , 5 Choughs , a Marsh Harrier , a Peregrine , a Buzzard and 20+ Swallows . 32 Mediterranean Gulls were seen at St Catherine's. A late report for yesterday was of 11 White Wagtails including several juveniles, at the Farmer's Cricket pitch in St Martin.
