29.01.2024 This German Ringed Plover was ringed on an island in the Baltic Sea and has returned to St Ouen's Bay each winter for the last three years RdC
A foggy morning turned into a mostly cloudy day with a moderate south easterly wind
Seen at La Sente this morning were the Shelduck pair, 2 Shoveler, 44 Redshank, 4 Greenshank and 11 Cattle Egret while at Causie lane were the Barnacle Goose and 322 Brent Geese which included a Pale-bellied and in fields near La Rocque were 6 Reed Bunting.
At Beaumont Marsh were 3 Shoveler, 7 Snipe, a Curlew, 2 Little Egret, 4 Redwing and 2 Song Thrush while 525 Brent Geese were on Ruelle es Ruaux near St Aubin.
Seen at St Ouen's Pond were 16 Wigeon, a Gadwall, 2 Shoveler, 20 Teal, 19 Coot, 2 Grey Heron, 50 Black-headed Gull, a Mediterranean Gull, a Peregrine and 6 Marsh Harrier.
