A fair day with very light winds.
Yesterday's grounded migrants had mostly departed by this morning and on the ground at Noirmont were 3 Wheatears, 2 Spotted Flycatchers, 2 Yellow Wagtails, 3 Whitethroats, a Willow Warbler, a Blackcap, a few Chiffchaffs, 60 Swallows and 3 Dartford Warblers, while offshore were 90 Black-headed Gulls, a Balearic Shearwater, 29 Lesser Black-backed Gulls and 28 Sandwich Terns.
On the Scrape were 3 Ruff, 4, possibly 6, Common Sandpipers, a Redshank, a Snipe, 2 Teal and 2 Wheatears while overhead were 3 Swifts, 20 Sand Martins and 5 House Martins. In St Ouen's Bay, as well as the 8 Glossy Ibis, were 4 Yellow-legged Gulls, a Common Gull, 45 Mediterranean Gulls, 70 Lesser Black-backed Gulls and 55 Great Black-backed Gulls.
At Les Landes were 2 Wheatears, 5 Stonechats, a Willow Warbler, a Whitethroat, a Marsh Harrier and a Buzzard. Seen at Le Pulec were a Kingfisher, 2 Common Sandpipers, 30 Curlews, 2 Little Egrets, 18 Shags and a Grey Seal.
Roosting at Petit Port were 87 Mediterranean Gulls, 13 Common Terns, 82 Sandwich Terns, 31 Curlews, 12 Little Egrets and a Marsh Harrier.
Around La Rocque early morning were 20 House Martins, 22 Black-headed Gulls, 7 Turnstones, 40 Ringed Plovers, 9 Sandwich Terns and 4 Little Egrets.
A visit to Les Ecrehous yesterday, saw 200+ Sandwich Terns, 30+ Common Terns, a Dunlin, 2 Ringed Plovers, a Redshank, a Wheatear, a Redstart, 4 Willow Warblers, 9 Rock Pipits and 4 Buzzards including a pale bird. Also yesterday, at Petit Port were 66 Mediterranean Gulls, 18 Sandwich Terns, 2 Yellow-legged Gulls, a Greenshank, 3 Redshanks and 2 Common Sandpipers. At Beauport Common yesterday evening were 2 Wheatears, 2 Stonechats and a Whinchat.
